Andrew Nail
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Hi! I’m Andy.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master’s degree from the University of South Florida—Go Bulls! With 10 years of experience in the field, I’ve had the privilege of working with people from diverse backgrounds. I specialize in supporting individuals as they navigate complex systems, particularly when dealing with medical challenges. My goal as a therapist is to provide a space where my clients feel truly heard, understood, and supported through whatever challenges they may be facing.
I have experience working with children and families, addressing behavioral, emotional, and neurocognitive disorders. I’m also deeply committed to providing gender-affirming care and supporting individuals within the LGBTQ+ community. My therapeutic approach combines Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy, which allows me to tailor treatment to best meet each person’s unique needs.
Outside of work, I’m a proud Disney nerd and a lover of video games. I also enjoy music, spending time by any body of water that brings a sense of calm, and practicing mindfulness, meditation, and yoga to nurture my own well-being. And, of course, I’m a huge fan of Illini sports. Whether it’s basketball, football, or any other sport, you’ll find me cheering for the team—usually in the most uncoordinated way possible, but hey, it’s the spirit that counts!
Taking the first step toward seeking support is both powerful and courageous. I truly admire the commitment it takes to invest in your mental health and well-being. Whether you’re facing personal challenges, navigating a medical journey, or simply seeking someone to talk to, I’m here to provide guidance and support. Every journey is unique, and I believe in honoring your path while working together to create meaningful change. Don’t hesitate to reach out—I’d be honored to walk alongside you as you navigate your journey toward healing and growth.
