Amanda Tomaszewski

Licensed Professional Counselor

Hi! My name is Amanda and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with experience helping individuals overcome life’s challenges. I obtained my Master’s degree to become a Licensed Professional Counselor from Lewis University.

I have 5 years of experience working in a school setting; both junior high and high schools. I have experience with both individual and group settings and have experience counseling children and adolescents for ADHD, depression, anxiety, executive functioning, LGBTQ+, and college/career planning. In addition, I have experience with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

My goal as a therapist is to create a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process, and I work closely with my clients to help them gain insight, develop coping skills, and create positive change in their lives.

A bit about me: My spouse and I have been married for 8 years. We have a 3 year old active boy who loves Sesame Street.  I am a huge fan of Harry Potter and my spouse loves anything space related. We love to travel so we often go where there are any of those things to see.

I understand that seeking therapy can be an intimidating and vulnerable experience, and I commend you for taking this step towards greater self-awareness and personal growth. If you are ready to take this journey, I would be honored to work with you.
