Kristen Snyder
Licensed Social Worker
I am a compassionate and experienced therapist who works with children, adolescents, adults, and seniors, offering supportive, client-centered care across the lifespan. My approach is grounded in empathy, collaboration, and evidence-based practices, with a strong focus on helping individuals and families navigate life’s emotional and developmental challenges. As the mom of teens, 2 of whom are neurodivergent, I truly “get” the challenges families face when navigating emotional dysregulation, rigid thinking, and the “mom guilt” that goes along with devoting more energy to some of your children on a consistent basis.
I have extensive experience supporting clients with ADHD, emotional regulation difficulties, anxiety, and depression. I work to help clients better understand their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while developing practical coping strategies that promote resilience, confidence, and emotional well-being.
In addition to individual therapy, I specialize in supporting families affected by dementia. I provide guidance, education, and emotional support to caregivers and family members as they navigate the complex changes, stressors, and grief that often accompany cognitive decline. My goal is to help families strengthen communication, reduce caregiver burnout, and maintain dignity and connection throughout the caregiving journey.
I strive to create a safe, respectful, and nonjudgmental space where clients of all ages feel heard, valued, and empowered. Together, we work toward meaningful growth, improved emotional regulation, and a greater sense of balance and well-being.

In my free time I enjoy taking road trips with my teens still at home, and visiting my oldest who is away at college. I also enjoy reading, spending time in nature, and photography. We share our home with a menagerie of pets, including a couple of dogs, a tortoise, ball python, and a tank of fish. When life gets busy, I remind myself to “be where my feet are”, in order to be truly present and soak up the moment.
